At the end of 2022 we asked the Cambridge community who they would like us to support as our Charity of the Year for 2023.

Once again we were overwhelmed with the incredible response and support for so many amazing local charities. There were 55 charities nominated with over 2250 nominations.

The last round of votes saw an excess of 8280 votes!

Thanks to everyone who took the time to both nominate and vote.

We are delighted to confirm that our Charity of the Year 2023 will be Romsey Mill.

Romsey Mill is a charity committed to overcoming disadvantage, challenging injustice and promoting social inclusion with young people, children and families.

Each year, they work with over 2,000 individuals and families, including:

• teenage mothers and fathers
• young people on the margins of society, experiencing isolation and disadvantage, including the most at risk and vulnerable
• young people struggling to engage fully with education
• autistic children and young people in mainstream education
• pre-school children and their families

Their work is long term, relational and needs-led and they work with participants to develop their skills enabling their progress towards training, work and positive involvement in the community.
