As a local business it’s really important to us to support our community and the charities that work so hard within it. 

Last year the pandemic had a massive influence on us all, but charities were particularly hard hit as they were unable to raise funds in the traditional way.

Having identified this massive, perhaps overlooked, issue, we decided to create a funding programme whereby we committed to one charity for the year and made regular quarterly donations.

In 2021 that was Centre 33 and we managed to raise an incredible £24,351.52 over the year.

For 2022 we decided that our charity of the year should be selected by the people of Cambridge, so that we could give back to a charity close to the hearts of our customers.

We are delighted to confirm, that as a result of the highest number of votes, Arthur Rank Hospice Charity will be our charity of the year for 2022.

Like our Hospice at Shelford Bottom and our services across the whole community, Panther Taxis are at the heart of our community and we very much look forward to working together – it is only because we have the incredible support of our local community and organisations like Panther Taxis and their customers, that we are able to keep providing our care, free of charge, to our patients and their loved ones in Cambridgeshire.”

Arthur Rank Hospice Charity provides outstanding care for around 4,000 patients each year. It costs £10.5 million every year to run the services. Of this, £3.52 million must be raised through donations, fundraising activities, and trading, and they are extremely grateful to the local community for the dedication, commitment, and generosity they show the Charity.
